October Topbox and special Lise Watier 40th Anniversary Beauty box!!!!!

OO before I begin, let me explain what topbox is, Topbox is a beauty subscription service, which you pay a flat rate every month and you receive a box with 4 hand picked deluxe sample delivered to you. and sometimes they include full size products. Topbox is $10 a month plus tax. It gives you the opportunity to try out different brands at small amount of cost. Topbox has a waiting list, It took me 5 months to get mine first box.

I got my October topbox in the mail a while ago... and this month's box was ok, a little bit better than last month's. I admit I was kind of disappointed in last month's box (show below)

Mini review: the Vasanti face scrub was ok, but I prefer my Naruko Tea tree peeling gel better, its more gentle. The Vasanti scrub has microcrystals, but they irritate my skin (I have sensitive/acne prone/oily skin) the Redken shampoo and conditioners were no use to me because I do not dye my hair and I have oily scalp, therefore I gave them to my mom. The M.Asam Primer feels and looks much like the L'oreal magic perfecting base, which I was never a fan of, but I still gave it a try and it didn't really do anything to my skin, however, it did make my skin more oily =S and Finally the Benefit they're real mascara. I was super excited when I saw what they claim the Mascara does... but I was VERY VERY VERY disappointed with the results, maybe I should do a separate review of it. But all I am going to say is that I did like the brush very much, but not the mascara formula itself.

Ok.. finally the October Topbox. This is the card that tells you what you get in the box:

I was definitely happy about this sample I got because FINALLY I got a shampoo that matches my hair condition. I usually get shampoo for dry, damaged hair. or for coloured hair even though I told them in my profile that I have thin, oily hair and my major concern was thinning hair. I have used the shampoo twice now, it has a strong herbal .. medicine smell... which I don't mind too much, but the samples are way to small to see results. My hair does look fuller after washing and blow drying.

I got Stila's lip glaze in Raspberry, it gives my lips a red tint, but it doesn't last long, well it's a lip gloss anways, nothing too impressive.

I actually haven't used this sheet mask yet because I'm not so much of a sheet mask person (I am lazy), and.... the girl on the package is kind of freaky... so ghostly white... haha -_-||

At first I thought this was a Stila product info card until I opened it up and saw these eyeshadow samples. The amount is very tiny, I think it will be finished in 2-3 uses... So I did not do a swatch of the colours. I can't wait to use them, the colours looks very nice and they are all neutral colours, which is great for everyday use.

So that conculdes my October Topbox.....

And now to my special Lise Watier beauty box.

I got an email from topbox with a coupon for me to redeem it at participating shoppers drugmart in Toronto for my special Lise Watier box. After looking up the address, I found that there is one really close to my house at yonge and finch. So I went the next day and picked this baby up.

I was super excited, first all.. its FREE second of all, its PINK ... so you can't really go wrong. At this point I really didn't care what is inside, I was honestly not expecting much.. maybe some tiny samples....

but when I opened the box up.. O-M-G it truly did exceed my expectations, the samples are almost full size products

So the box pretty much looks like pink version of topbox with the whole product cards and everything

And here are the goodies I got in the box

This is their Hydrasmart 3D hydration Gel-creme, the full size is 50ml and retails for $40 dollars. this sample size is 30ml which is VERY generous. I haven't opened the moisturizer yet because I am trying to finish all my other moisturizers. But I think this will be a good moisturizer for my skin during the colder weather.

Next are the Plumpissimo le gloss and Frisson Neiges twist & Spray (purse set with Refill) The Full size lip gloss is $21 and around 6.2ml and the sample size is 1.5ml. The shade is a pinky nude colour with gold shimmers. It will be very pretty with smokey eyes. I can't wear it alone because it kind of blends in with my skin tone and really washes me out. (swatch of the lipgloss colour is below)

This perfume comes in 2 sizes $40 for 30ml and $59 or 50ml and the sample size is 20ml x 2.. so you get 40ml in total! It's basically the full size.. and the travel bottle is very cute

lise watier- frisson neiges twist & spray set

You basically slide the refill bottles into the pink travel case and then when you twist it, the spray part goes inside to keep it from accidental sprays while the perfume bottle is in your purse. I like the design of the spray bottle, I think the twist cap makes it secure and it won't spill in your purse. The perfume has a sweet floral scent. It is a bit too sweet for my taste (my brother says he doesn't like it =S ), but I'm not complaining. I think the scent is more of a summer/spring type.. now that the weather is getting cooler, I definitely feel more for a musky.. stronger scent
